James Island Outreach was born over 30 years ago as the communities of James Island and Folly Beach called out for help after the devastation of Hurricane Hugo. This call was answered by the churches, civic organizations, local government and volunteers of our community. Since that time, James Island Outreach has been serving our Charleston County neighbors in need with food, financial assistance and home repairs.

Our mission is to uplift and unite our community by helping neighbors with basic and emergency needs.
